When 14-year-old Darin Miller Jr.'s father pulled an entry form off the Internet to be a celebrity batboy at a Chicago Cub's game, he never dreamed his name would be chosen. Miller will travel to Chicago where he will be a star for a day and receive a hat, a jersey and a certificate. His name will be announced before the game and spelled out in lights on the scoreboard.

Marion W. Coplen, former Warsaw High School instructor and Claypool principal, has accepted the position of superintendent of the Springs Valley Community schools at French Lick Inc. Marion goes there from Rockport, Ind., where he has been school superintendent. His wife, Ruth, writes that even though they have been away from Warsaw for four years, they still enjoy getting the Times-Union newspaper.
Paul Elliott and Paul Ellis, who started from Warsaw three weeks ago, are reported to have been in Texas, Oklahoma, Mexico and Arizona. They expect to reach Los Angeles, Calif., in a few days. The last message received in this city came from Juarez, Mexico.
