    Heather Lamb of the Milford Helping Hands 4-H Club brought home the top prize from the Indiana State Fair Fashion Revue formals competition in August, earning a $500 educational scholarship, a trip to Washington, D.C., and recognition as a senior achievement winner at the state 4-H level. Heather is the daughter of Dr. Bruce and Beth Lamb.

    Maurice Dorsey, president of the Board of Kosciusko County Commissioners, signed a 30-year lease agreement in which the county is renting the old jail to the Kosciusko County Historical Society.


50 Years Ago

September 21 1957

    Warsaw Women of the Moose held formal initiation for five new members at a meeting held at the local Moose home.

Those initiated were Mrs. Walter E. Dillman, Mentone; Mrs. Elmer Barley, Leesburg; and Mrs. Willis Green, Verla Rouch and Mrs. Evelyn Shively, all of Rochester.

75 Years Ago

September 21 1932

    J.S. Gault, of Atwood, a subscriber to The Warsaw Times and Northern Indianian for more than 50 years, called at the Times office. Gault is 85 years old and is enjoying good health. For 70 years he has been a resident of Atwood, which town he helped to name back in 1866. After debating for some time concerning a name the small group of villagers decided that Atwood, name of an early settler of that vicinity, would be most suitable.
