    Max Thompson, Claypool, was the overall winner in the adult division of this year's Warsaw Parks and Recreation Dept. fishing contest. He caught a 36-inch pike in Center Lake, and a 35-inch, 24-pound catfish in Winona Lake.

    Given ACE Awards for ability and effort at the recent Kosciusko Community REMC swim team banquet were Rory Callaghan, Amy Sumpter, Cindy Keough, Aaron Whitehead, Eric and Rod Mohler, Tom Doyle, Karen and Bob Sadenwater, Danita Mayhew, Terri Clark and Kent Hoppas.

    C.J. Cerny, Da-Lite Screen Co. vice president, announced the firm is producing a new improved Silver King projection screen at the Warsaw plant.

Cerny said the new screen is modern and with push button controls.

    Harry Weaver, who has been ill, was pleasantly surprised when 40 of his friends and neighbors came to his home and cut 15 acres of corn for him. Those assisting were Messrs. Rufus Miner, Monroe Huffer, James Craig, Harold and Harry Clay, Claude Lowe, Charles Scott, Charles Menzie, Alva, Guy and Charles Outcelt, Fred Gebert, Frank Marrs, Rev. Priest Meade White, Sam Franks, William Gary, Frank Snapp, Roger, Gale and Warren Robbins, Darold Mentzie, Ed Smith, Noel Headington, Vyol Harris, John Lightfoot, Jake Widman, Warren Horrick, Loval Wolfe, Ben Rider, Earl Dewart, Otto Rardin, Clyde Western, Elmer Girard, Herbert Orr, Charles Campbell, Charles Bryant, Sam Guy, Ray Hathaway and Jerry Engleking.
