10 Years Ago The “Flag Stop” at WRSW 107.3 FM was a resounding success – the station gave away 250 flags in about 25 minutes, reports Patrick E. Brown, general manager. “If we’d had 1,000 flags, we’d have given away 1,000 - that’s how many cars were lined up,” Brown said, noting the line of cars stretched from the GBC Media offices on West Market Street east to Little Crow Foods. “It was a tremendous showing of patriotism by this community.” 25 Years Ago Linda Kay Kinsey, daughter of John and Donna Kinsey, Warsaw, graduated from the University of Alabama, Birmingham, on Aug. 21 with a bachelor of science degree from the Surgeons Assistant Program.
