    Abby and Emma Schwendeman, Country Club Drive, Warsaw, was seen holding a giant puffball found by their mother, Ellen. It measured 15 inches across and weighed 7 pounds.

September 14 1982

    Russell W. Baldwin, son of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Baldwin, Warsaw, has been selected to the All-American College Marching Band that will perform in the grand opening ceremonies of Epcot Center at Disney World in Orlando, Fla., Oct. 17-24.

Baldwin is a junior at Indiana State University in Terre Haute where he is majoring in music merchandising.

September 14 1957

    A large crowd at the quarter-mile Warsaw Speedway last Saturday night thrilled to the usual roll overs, spills and crashes. Chuck Grover won the feature event.

One spectacular roll-over by Dave Gagnon during the strictly stock feature pulled the fans out of their seats as he emerged uninjured.

September 14 1932

    The ladies of the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club brought their season of weekly bridge sessions to a close. Their summer activities were happily climaxed with a luncheon and bridge at which Mrs. A.C. McDonald, of this city, presided as hostess. There were 10 tables of bridge played during the afternoon. Mae Myers, Columbia City, received first prize, Mrs. George Oram, Warsaw, second, and a guest prize was presented Mrs. Aptz, Syracuse.
