10 Years Ago With blood supplies already at a critically low level, what local residents are calling "the tragedy in New York" brought more than 200 people to the blood drive Tuesday at Center Lake Pavilion in Warsaw. The event was set for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donors were still waiting to give after 3 p.m., but no more walk-ins were being signed in. One Red Cross worker said about 75 donors were initially expected for the bloodmobile and several regular donors were scheduled for appointments. Supplies on hand quickly ran out, and more were brought in from the Goshen ARC facility to accommodate the Kosciusko County residents who wanted to do what they could to help the victims in New York.
