    Rick Hernandez, of Warsaw, spent a portion of his Labor Day painting the stars on the flag on the water tower in Claypool. Hernandez donated his time for the project.
     Rosalind Yeiter, assistant club manager at Raccoon Run Golf Course, seems to have adopted a pet to feed. Zorro, the fox, is a frequent visitor to the course and has been known to steal a golf ball every now and then. The creature also seems to have found a pretty sly way to procure a meal.

   Known for a long time as the site of the Chicago Boys Club, a section of about 20 acres will become what’s expected to be one of the most luxurious residential neighborhoods in Kosciusko County. But not to worry, though; much of the land’s natural beauty of Cherry Creek, located on the southeast side of Winona Lake, is being retained. Stone Camp, a residential section of Cherry Creek, will initially include 16 lots with access to Winona Lake.

    The Times-Union September Calendar girl Sue Thomas is doing her part to kickoff the football season in fine fashion as she poses on the cover of the Times-Union with a football. Sue, 15, a junior, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Thomas, of Atwood. She is one of the Atwood students coming to Warsaw High School as part of the school reorganization program. This year Sue will switch her sentiments from Greyhounds to Tigers.

    N. Bruce Howe and sons, Bobby, Bruce and Rowan, will be going to Chicago where they will attend the game of the College All-Stars and Green Bay Packers.
  Mr. and Mrs. John D. Harmon recently returned to their home at Atwood after spending four weeks on a vacation trip at Mayfield, Mich., where they enjoyed fishing. Sam Funk who had also been at Mayfield, returned home earlier.
