The Silver Creek Church of God of rural Silver Lake will celebrate 150 years of worship and service to the Lord and the community. The church was started in 1849 by a few people gathering in a home. A Log Bethel (or church) was built in 1857 with 25 charter members. In 1890, the Log Bethel was removed and a frame structure took its place with the new name, Silver Creek Church of God. After some major remodeling in 1976, the present church stands ready to serve the Lord and the Community.
