    Doug Hormann, John Merchant and Phil Yargosz were honored in an Eagle Scout ceremony July 27 at North Webster United Methodist Church. The Eagle Scouts are from Troop 726. The Eagle Scout honor is the highest award given in Boy Scouts of America.

    Vince Groniger, the 13-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Al (Maria) Groniger, Warsaw, won Grand Champion Market Lamb at the 4-H Sheep Show at the 66th Kosciusko County Fair. He is a fifth-year 4-H competitor and a member of the Pierceton Hayseeds.

August 8 1957

    Glendys Wagner, of Warsaw, is the first student to receive the $100 nurse's scholarship awarded by the Warsaw Eagles Auxiliary. The awarding of the scholarship is a new project for the local auxiliary.

Wagner, a graduate this spring of Warsaw High School, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Wagner of 821 E. Fort Wayne St. She plans to enter Memorial Hospital School of Nursing at South Bend.

    MENTONE - The Culver Military troop, numbering about 60, with their black horses camped on the farm of Blanche Darr, west of town. They were on their way to camp at Lake Wawasee.
