Beginning July 17, North Pointe Cinema will hold "Senior Movie Day" the third Thursday of every month. The first movie to be shown will be "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." With the recent passing of legendary actress Katharine Hepburn, one of Hepburn's movies will be shown in August. Before each show, something special will be featured to entertain or inform the senior community. "I just wanted a special day for the senior citizens. I think it's important," says Yvonne Keirn, general manager.

Dennis Sparrow, president of the Warsaw Exchange Club, announces the installation of the first women members. Cathy Carter and Crystal Foley joined the club in February of this year at the invitation of Jack Gillotti, Farmers State Bank. Warsaw Exchange Club members meet at 6:30 a.m. at Richards Restaurant every Wednesday. The Exchange Club is active in fundraising events throughout the year. Funding principals for all Exchange Clubs throughout the United States are fellowship, patriotism and enhancing community development. Cathy is employed at Farmers State Bank and Crystal at the State Bank of Syracuse.

Missionary-statesman Dr. Bob Pierce, president of World Vision Inc., will open Youth For Christ International's 19th annual convention tonight at the Billy Sunday Tabernacle in Winona Lake when some 4,000 young people and their leaders gather for two weeks of meetings. Dr. Billy Graham describes Pierce as "America's most effective Christian statesman throughout the world." There will be some 80 meetings during the convention, which runs through July 14. Speakers include Rev. Grady Wilson, Dr. Robert A. Clark, Dr. Carl Bihl and Bill Wade, quarterback for the Chicago Bears.

A new hydrant for firefighting purposes was installed on the east end of Claypool's Main Street after a collision of autos had knocked over the old one and started a miniature street flood. Big Four Section Foreman Charles Veeder's Ford and Farmer Monroe Wilson's Model T Ford rammed each other and knocked off the hydrant. Both cars were badly damaged. Both men reside on farms near Claypool.
Mrs. Chester Bolinger, of Warsaw, as a member of the Hoosier Art Salon, has been informed of the privilege of hanging three of her works in the Hoosier Art Gallery, Marshall Fields, Chicago. The pictures are for sale and will be replaced by the artist when one is sold.
