    Local wrestler Braxton Riley, 8, won the heavyweight bantam division at the state tournament recently. Riley was undefeated during the season with three pins.

    A Syracuse youth, who entered 4-H livestock competition for the first time this year with only one animal, was surprised when he won the Grand Champion Barrow trophy at the 4-H Swine Show at the 67th Kosciusko County Fair.

Allen Sutherline, 10-year-old foster child of Floyd and Carol Murphy, Syracuse, waltzed away from the showing with the top honor after showing a 250-pound Crossbred hog. The youth also won the Champion Crossbred Barrow trophy and first place in his weight class.

    Think she'll rear? That seems to be the question on the mind of little Barry Harmon, 3, but his brother, Terry, 6, seems less worried as they ride the romping fish at the county fair. Terry and Barry are sons of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Harmon, Warsaw.

    The weekly meeting of the Tippecanoe Bridge Club met at the Tippecanoe Country Club. Following the regular dinner, five tables of bridge progressed, with Mrs. H.W. Glass receiving high ladies' score; Herschel Leiter, high men's score; and Mrs. W.C. Fried of Leesburg, third high score.
