  Victoria (Vici) Jeanette Ball, daughter of Lt. Colonel George and Carla (Himes) Ball, came to the U.S. to study animal husbandry. Her parents graduated from Warsaw High School and Purdue University. George was commissioned into the Air Force; Carla graduated in elementary education. They've served in many air bases, both U.S. and foreign; they are stationed now at Potts Barracks, Germany. Vici will be a senior in high school this fall. While in Warsaw, she is visiting her mother's parents, George and Bessie Himes, her father's mother, Velma Ball, and working for Dr. Robert Conrad at his animal clinic.

Carpenters and bricklayers, employed by the late contractor Merle P. Hodges, who built the Times Building, corner of Market and High Sts., in 1922: Walter McClone, Albert Hodges, Samuel Bryan, William Davis, Walter Lee, Tom Guy, Warren Pockmire, Mose Willette, Burket Frush, Charles Ellis, Frank Barrett, John Cox, Charles Frush, Rollin Teel, Harry (Buddy) Hodges and Charles Beroth. The picture, taken at the corner entrance of the Times Building, was recently given to Robert Frush, 722 North Cook St., son of Charles Frush, by Mrs. Tom Guy, of Chapman Lake. Only two members, Albert Hodges and Walter McClone, are still living.

An eight and one-quarter pound son was born at 11:30 Sunday morning, June 9 to Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hollar, of Milford. The infant, born at the McDonald Hospital, was named Charles Allen Hollar.
Mrs. Catherine Beard Pletcher, Pierceton, believed to be Kosciusko County's oldest resident, celebrated her 100th birthday anniversary June 14 at the home of her son, W. Harve Pletcher, in Pierceton. Other sons are Lester M., Winona Lake, and E.F., Pierceton. Her husband, Joseph, died in 1918.
