   Chicago Rush Arena football player Jamie Bowers recently enjoyed a visit from several Warsaw fans. Bowers, a 1994 Warsaw Community High School graduate and Wabash College graduate, is a fullback and linebacker for the Chicago Rush. Those attending the game were: Max and Jean Reed and Bill and Priscilla Wood, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Bumgartner, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Crousore and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Huber.

   Dacia Marie Peters was crowned 1987 Kosciusko County Fair Queen Saturday night. She is the 17-year-old daughter of Nellie Peters of Warsaw and will be a senior at Warsaw Community High School this fall. First runnerup was Jennifer Leslie Woodward, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Woodward, of Warsaw. Tamra Leigh Hollar, 17, daughter of Stan Hollar of Milford and Doris Hollar of Nappanee, was the second runnerup.

   A near-capacity crowd of some 5,000 persons is expected to jam Winona Lake’s big Billy Sunday Tabernacle tonight to witness the annual Music Festival – a glittering extravaganza of gospel songs, excerpts from oratorios, spirituals and choral anthems programmed as a climax to the Rodeheaver  Sacred Music Conference here. The religious musical spectacular, under direction of Rodeheaver Co. President James E. Thomas, features a 200-voice mixed choir, festival band concert and the talented voices of many of the nation’s finest gospel singers, both a men’s and women’s chorus.

   Miss Maxine Brown and Miss Imogene Patterson of the North Winona Church, east of Warsaw, left recently for Camp Mack at Milford, where they will spend the next two weeks. Approximately 250 young people of the Church of the Brethren will be at camp during that time for religious training.
