Skiing is not as easy as it looks. By any means. And for Times-Union reporter David Slone, who has never skied a day in his life, the first time is  just that much harder. The Lake City Skiers invited Slone out to try some skiing before their show recently. Kevin Hayes, show director for the Lake City Skiers, drove the boat along with Shanna Ewert. By his side on skis trying to hold him up were Chris and Mike Wilson. He still fell down, but says it was fun, commenting that he needed more practice. Even by the sixth or seventh try, Slone still didn't make it. Maybe by the 100th try.
