MUNCIE - Aaron Vis of Warsaw has been named to the 1997 homecoming royalty court during Ball State's "Kickin' It To MoTown!" homecoming.
Crowned the 1982 4-H King and Queen at the Kosciusko County Fair were Mike Pyle, the 19-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Pyle, Silver Lake, and Doreen Darr, the 19-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Darr, Syracuse.
Paul D. Grossnickle, of Wabash, has obtained a certificate of registration to practice optometry in Kosciusko County. The certificate was issued by Pauline Jordan, county clerk.
A night-blooming cereus, an unusual and rare plant which blooms but one night a year, will be in blossom this evening on the lawn of the W.D. Pockmire home, Sixth Street, Winona Lake. Mrs. Pockmire extends an invitation to all persons interested in seeing such a rarity, to come to her home between 9 and 9:30 p.m., when the flower will be fully budded.
