    Laura Yeager shot a hole-in-one at Stonehenge Championship Course on Aug. 10 during the Yeager Open. The ace came on the 118 yard, No. 5, hole. She used a five-iron.

Witnesses were Tracy Yeager and Todd Yeager.

August 29 1982

    Allen Marsh pulled off a sweep Saturday night at the Warsaw Speedway, as he won the street stock fast heat, street stock dash and the feature race in the street stock category.

Marsh also managed a second place in the late model fast heat.

    Officials of the Indiana Highway Dept. have given assurance that within the next four years U.S. Highway 30 will be dual-laned from Fort Wayne to Wanatah (which takes in Kosciusko County from east to west).

U.S. 30 is already dual-laned from Wanatah west to the Indiana-Illinois state line.

August 29 1932

    Marion "Mushmouth" Warner was the hero of many a Warsaw boy, for in the last minute of a 10-minute match which Clarence Rae, champion wrestler with the Downie Brothers circus, he obtained the only fall of the bout, pinning Ray on his back just before time was called. The match was staged as a part of the after-show, which featured "Buck" Owens, cowboy movie actor and his troupe.
