    Jeffrey Velasquez, 5, of Warsaw, was the winner of a pedal tractor sponsored by the Kosciusko County Farm Bureau Inc. at the county fair.

    Hostesses for the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club Luncheon Bridge were Mrs. William Fiedeke, Mrs. Carlyle Pickering and Mrs. James Guyton. The door prize was won by Mrs. Keith Horn.

Bridge prizes were won by Mrs. Forrest Kendall, Mrs. Wayne Bucher, Mrs. Paul Penn, Mrs. Parker Phend, Mrs. Robert C. Coppes, Mrs. Arthur Marose, Mrs. Leo Pfister, Mrs. Keith Horn, Mrs. James Bricker and Laura Hadley.

    Mrs. Richard McIntosh, of Tippecanoe, was grand sweepstakes winner at the 20th annual Bourbon Flower show.

McIntosh captured the prize with her exhibit of a singer tuberous begonia blossom. She also won the largest number of entries awards, having exhibited 44.

August 27 1932

    Gus De Ford, who resides just east of Silver Lake, was in Warsaw on business. He states the mail this morning brought him a surprise in the shape of a medal of the Order of the Purple Heart, assigned by the war department on citation for bravery and valor, and conferred only upon veterans who sustained wounds in action. Gus saw much action in France and was also badly wounded. Already he possesses the distinguished service medal conferred by Congress.
