Myron Tscheipp, Leesburg, is the first depositor of the new Peoples State Bank of Leesburg; President Albert E. Heierman congratulates him. The round bank building, designed by Orus Eash of Fort Wayne, is enclosed in plate glass with 24 white columns supporting a wide overhanging roof. The lobby and teller's desks are a semicircle with offices and bookkeeping rooms in the other half of the circle. Peoples State Bank was founded in 1903 as a private bank in the corner room of the Empire Hotel by Joel Hall, Frank Bortz and Joe A. Irvine.
This room was occupied until 1916; under the leadership of Cyrus Hall, a new building was erected across the street on the Ringgenberg property, which served until 1953. A site on Road 15 was purchased in 1962.
