    The former girl’s camp recreation hall and town hall has become a reception hall for community get-togethers, a facility for park department programs and is scheduled to become a busy senior citizens center. Built in 1913 along the east shore of Winona Lake, the building was rehabilitated during the winter and spring, it became available for lease in June.

    Friday was supposed to have been the day members of the Warsaw Board of Works and Public Safety opened bids for the demolition of the Murphy Medical Center. Instead, city officials agreed to start the process over again when no bids were received by the Warsaw planning office.

    Mr. and Mrs. Don Hawk and family and Mrs. Guy Rader of this community are spending 10 days at Portage, Wis., and participating in a rally for colporteurs.
  Mrs. James Cook, Warsaw, and Miss DeVere Brant, Winona Lake, are home from a vacation in Canada. They spent some time in Quebec and toured the Gaspe peninsula.

   Seven Warsawans, members of Co. L, 152nd Infantry, Indiana National Guard, were honored in closing ceremonies of the annual two weeks encampment at Fort Knox, Ky., recently, which included First Sergeant Ralph Lichtenwalter, Sergeants Cecil Archer, Robert Keller, Sam Wells, Paul Harris and Privates Carl Latta and John Shinn.
