    Aimee Diemer, daughter of Mike and Yvonne Diemer, of Mentone, has been accepted to Northwestern College in Lima, Ohio, to begin classes in the September quarter, where she will major in the business administration. Aimee attended Tippecanoe Valley High School.

    Joining together, the Warsaw Common Council and Zimmer Inc. agreed Monday to finance the construction of a new a $500,000 hangar, officially kicking off another phase of expansion of the Warsaw Municipal Airport.

August 21 1959

    Mary Lou Jones, of Pierceton, was elected mayor on the Federalist ticket during an election of officers at Girls State, being held at Indiana University at Bloomington.

Girls State is held under sponsorship of the Indiana American Legion Auxiliary.
