    Roger Lemaster of Warsaw had a hole-in-one at Big Boulder Golf Course on Aug. 5. Lemaster scored his ace on the 110-yard, No. 5 hole.

    The Purdue University Department of Bands has announced that Kenneth Cummings, Warsaw, and David Langham, Leesburg, have been accepted for membership in the Purdue University Bands.

Cummings, son of Roger and Helen Cummings, plays the trumpet for the Warsaw Community High School Band. Langham, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Langham, plays cornet in the JEB Stuart High School Band.

    Betty Leedy, of Route 1, Warsaw, perhaps was perplexed by all the bidding going on for her grand champion barrow at the 4-H livestock auction, but she left the ring a very happy girl. A record price of $1.50 per pound was paid for her barrow to highlight a record night of bidding.

August 21 1932

    The number of prisoners in the Kosciusko County jail the past two days has been reduced by 15, and only eight prisoners now remain in jail.

Prisoners released Sunday and Monday were 11 train riders, three prisoners taken to the penal farm and one to the state reformatory.
