    Aaron Silveus, of Warsaw, is participating in the 1999 National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine, in Chicago. Silveus, a 1999 graduate of Warsaw Community High School, is among a select group of outstanding high school juniors and seniors from across America and around the world who have met the qualifications required to participate in the forum. He was selected because of his outstanding academic achievements and his interest in the profession of medicine.

August 18 1984

    Ground breaking for the new Mason Health Care Facility on the northeast side of Kosciusko Community Hospital along U.S. 30 occurred recently. The facility is expected to be licensed for 89 beds in relation to the present facility's 54 beds. The building will be nearly 28,000 square feet.


50 Years Ago

August 18 1959

    Mrs. Raymond Walsh, who, with her husband, has been teaching in a school for children of Air Force personnel in Tripoli, Libya, the past three years, will spend the summer with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Reagan, of Wawasee Lake. In the fall they will go to London for a new teaching assignment.

August 18 1934

    A "kid" party was enjoyed recently by members of the Chicagami campfire group at the home of the assistant guardian, Miss Doris Douglas, Warsaw. The occasion honored the birthday anniversary of the guardian, Miss Kathryn Frazer. All of the members were dressed in "kid" costumes, and Vivian Banghart received a prize for the cleverest costume.
