Kenneth and Bonnie Gragg, Warsaw, will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary and daughter Joann (Merl) Heckaman will celebrate 45 years of marriage with a combined open house at the Masonic Lodge, 1620 W. Center St., Warsaw. Kenneth and Bonnie were married May 20, 1933, in Etna Green, with the Rev. Raymond Coon officiating. He is retired as owner of Gragg Equipment Co. After selling, he and Bonnie opened the 3-Flags drive-in at Syracuse. Merl and Joann Heckaman were married June 6, 1958, in Bremen, with the Rev. Melvin Livengood officiating. Merl is owner and Joann is secretary of Bobcat of Warsaw Inc., formerly Gragg Equipment Co.

Seniors Jane Bolinger, daughter of Max and Shirley Bolinger, and Harvey Lem, son of John and Daisy Lem, have been selected by the senior sponsors and senior class officers to speak at the Warsaw Community High School Commencement exercises. Jane will receive an honor cord for her academic achievements. Harvey was on the student council for three years.
Lincoln Elementary School held its annual Field Day, with the students competing in many different events. Emerson Poort, 8-year-old second-grader, strains with the rest of his classmates in the tug-of-war. Despite Emerson’s best efforts, his team lost.

Members of the Warsaw Baker Boys Club firearms team receive instructions and view an aluminum barreled shotgun owned by instructor Herb Stier. Members are Harry Beaty, Walter Wilson Jr., Roger Gaff, Calvin Baugher, Mike Miner, Bob Ferguson, Randy Bird, and Bill Boyd. Instructors are Walter Blackwell and Charles Betz. Boys Club Executive Director is L. N. “Pete” Thorn.
The Warsaw-Wayne Township librarian, Jim Sloan, raises the American flag received from the Warsaw American Legion. Joseph Lessig is vice president of the library board and Edward Funk is a board member. The color guard includes Estil Sheppard, Jerry Kesler, Fred Neer, Ron Shaffer, Ernie Long, Donnie Miller, Jack Earl and the leader, Jack Bullers. They all stood at attention.
