There were 23 girls and seven boys in the junior contest for ages 8 to 11. Fifteen girls ages 12 to 15 competed for the Miss Teen title. It was a good night for the Blair family of Warsaw when Robert and Linda Blair’s daughter, Litasha, 14, was named Miss Teen Kosciusko County Fair. Their son, Brandon, was named first runner-up in the Junior Mister contest.

Warsaw school children will not have free textbooks commencing September 1936, as had been anticipated by the Warsaw Board of Education, as when names stricken from the petitions, illegally signed, showed the petition to be 83 names short. The school board will hold the money in trust and a new petition must be circulated. If this new petition has 61 percent of the legally registered voters upon it, free textbooks will be available to Warsaw school children in September 1937.
