    Teresa Sharp, a sixth-grader last year at Harrison Elementary, was among the top 28 finalists in a "design the cover contest" for Music K-8 Magazine, published by Plant Road Publishing Inc., Wauwatosa, Wis.

More than 13,000 students entered the contest.

    Top racers in Etna Green's four-mile Country Run held in conjunction with the Fourth of July Celebration there were Jeff Shoemaker, first; Brian Zellner, second; Steve Moody, third; and Tammy Yarian, first in the women's division.

    Warsaw's City School Board President O. Ray Miner and Superintendent Carl Burt joined D.H. Lessing Engineers, of Warsaw, in releasing for the first time the drawing of the new Lincoln Elementary School building, which will be erected in the east part of town.

    A recital will be given at the United Brethren Church July 11, by the following pupils who are graduating from the Warsaw Conservatory of Music: Kathleen Anderson, pianist; Melvin Edgar Livengood, pupil of the trombone and voice, and C. Phillip Nice, saxophone and clarinet student.
