The Dixie Park beach is in – almost. Park Board president Howard Ziegler reported to the North Webster Town Board that all of the vinyl is in place and 34 truckloads of sand have been dumped into the water. The remaining sand required to complete the beach will be added soon. “The beach will be ready for this summer.” The beach size has been shortened from the anticipated 150 feet to 90 feet from the seawall. Because there wasn’t a hard winter freeze in the intended area, plans fell through for piling the sand on the ice so it would be distributed when the ice melted.
