ML Motorsports, a Warsaw-based stock car racing team in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, will carry a special paint scheme Saturday at Watkins Glen, N.Y. The No. 67 Mary Louise Miller-owned car, which is normally purple and yellow, will carry a red/white/blue scheme in honor of the Fourth of July. Biomet will be the primary name on the car. Heather England, daughter of Linda and Rick England, Mentone, was awarded the individual cheer award by the U.S. Cheerleading Association in the Junior High-Freshman division for outstanding skill and leadership. The Rev. and Mrs. E.J. Arthur, Winona Lake, have two sons and their families visiting them. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Arthur Jr., are here from Heidelberg, Germany, with their boys, Michael and Joel, and the Gilbert Arthurs have come from Dayton Ohio, with their daughter Sharon. One of the greatest crowds of fishermen ever in Kosciusko County was on the lakes over the weekend. Thousands were turned away from some of the best-known fishing lakes, for all the boats and cottages were rented several days ahead and there were no boats to be rented at any price. Several places fishermen offered $1 per hour for the rent of a boat. Walter Crooke of Tippecanoe Lake reports that he had more than 1,000 persons at the Pottowatomie Gardens Saturday night. Traffic was jammed from the lake clear out to Oswego.
