    Deb Burch and Travis Hickman were crowned 4-H queen and king of the 4-H & Community Fair at the official awards program, and Heather Lamb and Jess Wise were named 4-H princess and prince.

    The memo recently was posted in the squad room of the Warsaw Police Department ... "On Wednesday, the county health nurse will be in the squad room to administer a new vaccine (Harleycillin). The vaccine is guaranteed to cure all ill feelings about riding Harley motorcycles. Officers interested please sign below." The memo was signed by Patrolman Eric Coburn, who sources say, has been hesitating to learn to ride the department's Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

    Marine Corps headquarters has announced the promotion of Jack E. Bolinger to corporal. Bolinger is the son of Mabel M. Kyler, Pierceton.

July 6 1932

    Bud Moon, of the Warsaw Fire Department, who used intensive garden methods by sowing lettuce in the north canna bed at the city hall park at Indiana and Center streets, harvested his crop late Tuesday. In addition to having all the lettuce he desired, Moon divided the crop with Mrs. Glenn Smith and "Luke" Burg.
