Ben Essick, Warsaw, is studying saxophone and participating in the summer music festival at the Brevard Music Center in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. He will perform in ensembles and receive instruction from guest artists and professional artists faculty from the nation's top symphonies, opera companies and music school. Essick, a home-schooled high school senior, is the son of Frank and Peggy Essick.

The 1986 grand champion market lamb at the Kosciusko County 4-H Fair belongs to 12-year-old Brad Tennant, Etna Green. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stan Tennant, and this his third year in 4-H.

Dawn Burch, daughter of Dennis and Linda Burch, of Mentone, showed the grand champion barrow, a crossbred weighing 226 pounds, at the county fair. Reserve grand champion was shown by her sister, Deanna Burch, with a Hampshire barrow weighing 231 pounds.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Willits, of Warsaw, are on a five-day tour of the east. They plan to spend some time in Atlantic City, N.J., and Washington, D.C.

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Priser, of Leesburg, are on a two-week vacation trip to California. They will visit their son, Lance Corporal Larry Priser, who is stationed at the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps base.

Out of a group of 360 students attending Camp Mack the past week, 31 who were awarded Junior Life Saving emblems. Miss Margery Adams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy T. Adams of Warsaw, was the only Kosciusko County student awarded a Life Saving emblem. Miss Adams is only 13 years of age.
