Kosciusko County will be the owner of the new work release center. The work release center will be the current Lake City Inn facility. The county will pay $2.2 million for the facility.
Six new trees will be planted and 14 trees that withered in last summer's drought will be replaced beginning today. It's the second phase of the tree-planting program, which was implemented one year ago by the Downtown Beautification Committee, according to Deb Wiggins, executive vice president of the Greater Warsaw Chamber of Commerce member of the committee.
Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Long returned to their summer home at Lake Wawasee after spending the winter months in Sarasota, Fla. The stay was a short one, however, as they soon left for a month's tour through the state of Alaska.
Dean VanOsdol, Warsaw, who graduates this spring from the Indiana University School of Dentistry, has been honored by being one of the four members of the class to be elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon, national honorary scholastic dental fraternity. He is the son of Mrs. Eugene Alleman of this city.
