    WINONA LAKE - After 74 years of marriage, Kenneth and Ruth Leininger are still happy together.

On July 26, the Leiningers will celebrate 74 years of being married and weathering the trial of life together.

    The winners in the Warsaw city parks tennis tourney are: Liza Reed, beginners winner; Sonya Scott, intermediate winner; Steve McCall, intermediate winner; Cindy Cummins, intermediate consolation winner; Allison Clampitt, advanced winner; Dusty Stamper, advanced winner; Troy Long, intermediate consolation winner; and Mindy Sparrow, advanced consolation winner.

July 25 1958

    Harry Gawthrop, with a score of 98, won a 200-yard small bore match held on the Warsaw Rifle and Pistol Club range.

The match consisted of 10 shots for record on the smallbore decimal target at 200 yards. Shooters were allowed sighting shots.

75 Years Ago

July 25 1933

    Mrs. H.T. Veon, residing near Little Chapman Lake, visited The Times office, bringing with her a copy of a Vicksburg, Miss., newspaper issued during the siege against that city by the Union forces during the Civil War. History tells us that Vicksburg was entirely surrounded and supplies of every kind became much depleted. Evidently the publishers of the newspaper ran out of regular print. They obtained a supply of wall paper in Vicksburg and printed the newspaper on one side of it, the other side, of course, showing the wall-paper pattern in colors.
