South Whitley - A wedding ring lost 22 years ago on a farm in Whitley County was unearthed by a boy digging in the ground and retuned to its owner, now a resident of Huntington, unspoiled by its long years in weather-beaten earth.
Bessie Hartley of Huntington is the owner of the ring which was her mother's. She came into possession of the ring, a wide-band engagement ring, which bore on the inside her mother's name, in 1910 and in that same year lost the ring in the yard of her farm home near South Whitley.
