    Joel Edwards, son of Tim and Chris Edwards, graduated from New Mexico Highlands University, Las Vegas, N.M., with a master's degree in psychology. He is a 1990 graduate of Warsaw Community High School.

Edwards earned a 3.8 grade point average and was president of PHICHI, a national honor society for psychology students at Highlands University. He was inducted into Sigma Xi, a national honor society for scientists.

    Routine methods of finding a buyer for Murphy Medical Center haven't worked for seven years, so the owners are looking for an appropriate bounty hunter to do the work for them.

Owners First National Bank and Irmacher and Sons Inc., Fort Wayne -- in an cooperative effort with the city and Greater Warsaw Chamber of Commerce -- are putting up a $20,000 reward for anyone who can find a qualified buyer for the former 75-bed hospital.

    Warsaw's Max Truex has been named as one of four Hoosiers to compete with the U.S. AAU track and field team against a Russian squad at Philadelphia later this summer. Truex will compete in the 10,000-meter race.
