    Andy Plank, a 1998 graduate of Warsaw Community High School, has been admitted into the Butler University Honors Program. An invitation to participate in this program requires a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better.

Plank just completed his freshman year in the college of business and is majoring in international business management. He finished his freshman year with a 3.77 GPA.

July 21 1984

    Lake City Bank president Doug Grant presented specially minted medallions, honoring the Warsaw Community High School state championship basketball team, to team members, coaches, cheerleaders and managers. Proceeds from the sale of the limited edition medallions has already netted $500 and will be donated to the WCHS athletic department.

July 21 1959

    The Woman's Christian Temperance Union of Indiana will sponsor a "Total Abstinence Training School" for Christian youth next week on the Bethany campus at Winona Lake.

The camp for young people 13 to 23 years old will combine serious study, recreation and Christian fellowship.

July 21 1934

    Thirty-seven members and six guests of the Galathea Sunday school class of the First Methodist Church enjoyed a pot-luck supper at the city park. Mr. and Mrs. Art Gibson and Mr. and Mrs. Dean Aker were i charge of the evening's program. Following the supper, a social evening was enjoyed. Mrs. C.H. Robbins is the class teacher.
