P.J. Weingart, 6, of Warsaw, was the winner of a 4-foot-tall Winnie the Pooh stuffed bear, valued at $250, given away as part of the JCPenney Children's Department's Giant Pooh Sweepstakes.
INDIANAPOLIS - Marlene Messner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard G. Messner, Warsaw, has been selected as an entrant in the 1982 Miss Teen Indiana Pageant to be held in Indianapolis.
Mona Rose, Becky Keirn and Janet King recently attended twirling and majorette camps at Smith-Walbridge School of Baton at Syracuse. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Ross, Warsaw, and Mr, and Mrs. Hubert Keirn and Mr. and Mrs. George King, of Mentone, are their parents.
Harold Strauss, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred E. Strauss, of Winona Lake, has been awarded first prize in a miniature coach model contest at Indianapolis. There were 44 entries and Strauss submitted a coach model of the kind of horse-drawn coaches used in France in the days of Napoleon Bonaparte. Strauss was awarded the first senior place carrying with it a prize of $100 in gold and a trip to Detroit, where he will attend the second annual convention of the Fisher Body Craftsman's Guild.
