    Twenty-one students from Edgewood Middle School were inducted into membership of the National Junior Honor Society on April 29.

Inductees were Melonie Albert, Joshua Buck, Ashley Byrd, Matthew Carter, Craig Davison, Meagan Dick, Ashley Durcholz, Meagan Faas, Christopher Fletcher, Neel Kishan, Laura Lloyd, Paul Lofquist, Michelle Moore, Grady Randall, Curtis Rhodes, Dayna Ridderman, Troy Stapleton, Margaret Tidmore, Sara Turskey and Lauren Witzky.

    Five area women graduated from the Parkview-Methodist School of Nursing, Fort Wayne, on May 12.

They were Patricia A. Hollar and Theresa Momeyer, both of Warsaw; Nannette D. Swaidner, formerly of North Webster; Lynn Haney, North Webster; and Martha Baumle, Leesburg.

    Marilyn Wiseman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Wiseman, and Nick Feagler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Feagler, were named winners of the Harley Award at South Whitley High School last week.

The award is made to outstanding students by the Richard Harley estate in memory of his death in World War II.

June 6 1932

    The commencement held at the Presbyterian Church was honored with the presence of Mary Shaffer (Gibson) of Evanston, Ill., who was one of the first graduates of the Warsaw High School in 1878 just 54 years ago. She, along with Belle Weimer Burket and Alice Carpenter Funk, constituted the first graduating class in 1878.
