    Dick Morris, Warsaw, shot a hole-in-one on Sycamore Golf Club's 148-yard par 3 18th hole May 22.

Gene Felton (Huntington), Brad Harmon (Knoxville, Tenn.), and Eldon Disher (Warsaw) all witnessed the hole-in-one.

Tusing, Heather Gaerte, Ginger Frauhiger, Shelly Mauk, Krista Ross and Joy Fick.

    Patricia Dreher, a Syracuse freshman at Ball State College in Muncie, has been appointed to the student center exhibits and displays committee for the 1959-60 college year. Pat is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clair Dreher, Syracuse.


75 Years Ago

June 5 1934

    Thermometers in the shade at 7 o'clock registered 83 degrees and later in the day the thermometer on the Lantz & Dufur Drug store registered 104 degrees. In the residence district, although canary birds and their cages were hung in the shade, the hot winds were found to have nearly killed the songbirds as they were found lying on the floor of the cage gasping for breath.
