    Community leaders came out en masse to thank Bob and Roma Maish for what might be viewed as the crowning jewel in Warsaw's downtown Central Park.

Bob and Roma Maish, whose gift to the city has been transformed into a 10,000-square-foot garden complete with a flowing brook, were honored by city officials at a ceremony in Central Park.

    Warsaw Racquet Club captured the 10-team Michiana Inter-club B-Team championship recently in St. Joseph Mich. Team members are Diane Burnett, Candy Cunningham, Sally Bair, Elaine Glova, Nancy Williams, Millie Blue, Erma Nicola, Phyl Landis, Bess Becker and Deb Nicol.

    Richard Bellman and Sharon Heckaman received Bourbon eighth-grade citizenship awards from Loy Houser, of the Bourbon American Legion Post. The award is based upon scholarship, leadership and citizenship and is presented each year by the post.

June 4 1933

    Two Kosciusko County boys were among those receiving freshmen and varsity awards for athletic activities at DePauw University the past year.

Among the freshmen awarded numerals was Milo Lightfoot, of Pierceton, a member of the freshman track team. Ray Getty, Silver Lake, was awarded a letter as a member of the varsity baseball team.
