75 Years Ago Twenty-four hours after a warning in The Warsaw Daily Times that safety precautions were not taken on PWA sewer work, a cave-in occurred at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Clark Street sewer. Two workmen, George Keel and Cleve Gilbert, had a narrow escape from death. Gilbert suffered no injuries but Keel was less fortunate suffering loosening of his teeth and painful bruises about the head. Investigators claim that the sewer was not properly protected with sheeting at the time of the cave-in.
