Daisy Ousley, the daughter of Mitchell and Merla Ousley, Warsaw, has received recognition on the National Dean's List for the spring semester of the 1998-99 academic year at Indiana Wesleyan University. To be named on this list, a student must obtain at least a 3.4 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and carry at least 12 credit hours for the semester.
SHOE LAKE - Carroll Eiler, retiree, says, "I farmed for 40 years and I never seen anything I couldn't make if I needed it." Eiler, along with his wife, Marguerite, formerly operated Eiler Egg Farms at Atwood. They now enjoy doing needlepoint projects. "It's a form of self-expression." They took up needlepoint in 1973, one year before a tornado destroyed their Atwood farm.
Mrs. Robert Pfeiffer, daughter of Postmaster and Mrs. Frank O. Rarick, Warsaw, has been elected to membership in Delta Kappa Gamma, an international women teachers association and honorary education organization.
John W. Chapman, who was born and spent most of his life in this community, has written a book titled "Longevity or Long Life With Health," published by The Continental Publishers of Chicago, Ill. Mr. Chapman comes from one of the old prominent families of Kosciusko County and in the '90s was one of our most active citizens and business men.
