A mayor often has to be versatile, and Warsaw Mayor Jack Engle is no exception. He hurled out the first pitch to officially open the Little League baseball and summer recreation season in Warsaw. Two bass on one cast. That unusual performance was accomplished by Jack Sellers, 15, son of Ad Sellers, of 741 E. Main St. And the bass weighed a total of 4-1/2 pounds, one being 18 inches long, and the other 16 inches. And what's more there were witnesses and a photograph taken showing the two bass entangled in the same bait. The photo was necessary because the elder Sellers has told so many fish stories that some people might think it ran in the family. However, they're always having fish dinners at the Sellers home and you can't do that without fish. The catch of two fish on one throw was made at Winona Lake.
