    TERRA HAUTE - Alpha Lambda Delta, a national academic honor society, recently initiated outstanding freshman students at Indiana State University. Lindsey Jo Johnson, of Leesburg, was one of the 158 students that were honored.

    TIPPECANOE - Kirby Stolte, a former member of the Tippecanoe Township Advisory Board, was appointed the newest member of the Triton School Board in a special meeting recently.

    Warsaw Rotarians honored the 10 Warsaw High School seniors who ranked highest scholastically at their regular noon luncheon.

The 10 top students, in order, were Carol Stone (valedictorian), Dale Martin (salutatorian), Evelyn Tschetter, Nancy Martin, Richard Kriegbaum, Becky Fisher, Judy Whiteneck, Lois Taber, Jean Kelley and Diana Castaldi.

June 2 1934

    David Loyd, a member of this year's graduating class of Warsaw High School, has received the honor of writing an essay, which placed second in an entry of senior high schools of the Midwestern states. The contest was sponsored by Otterbein College, and entries were made in three groups, essays, poetry and short stories. Loyd will receive $5 as a prize for the distinction of having his essay rating second.
