This month, Tri-State Advertising Company Inc. will celebrate its 40th anniversary. Through all of those years, this full-service marketing communications firm, which does business all over the country, has been headquartered in Warsaw. Back in 1938-39, the late William H. Kreicker had the idea for operating an agency specializing in business-to-business advertising. In April of 1948, Tri-State was established. "Warsaw is a fine community and close to major metropolitan centers." In 1987, the agency had grown to a staff of 17. W. L. Kreicker (Bill, Jr.) joined the firm in February 1949, and became executive vice president in 1963 and president in 1968 upon the death of his father. Bill's son, Clayton, hangs an oil painting with his father of his grandfather.

The U.S. contract management office at South Bend announced today that Dalton Foundries Inc., of Warsaw, has been awarded a $598,000 contract to supply practice bombs to the Air Force. The contract calls for the Warsaw firm to start production on 121,000 practice bombs in late July 1963. The same bomb was produced by Dalton in 1961 and 1962. Approximately 12 operators will be required to machine, paint, inspect, pack and ship these bombs. A new 8,000-square-foot steel building is under construction at the Dalton Plant number two located on East Winona Avenue to house these finishing operations. The exterior of the new building will be white. The bombs will be used in training flights for Air Force crews. The practice bombs are being purchased by the San Antonio, Texas Air Material Area.
