Warsaw senior Adam Griggs, son of Penny and John England, has chosen to continue his basketball career at Houghton College in New York. Warsaw senior Luke Wright, son of Paul and Melody Wright, will continue his tennis career at Indiana Wesleyan University. Tippecanoe Valley's Emily Weaver, daughter of Tom and Jill Weaver, has signed a letter of intent to run track for Bethel College.
Big R officially opened this weekend, June 5 & 6, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by special events and prizes throughout the weekend. Work started Jan. 31 in the former Wal-Mart property on Commerce Drive.

The Kutz Coal Company, Warsaw's oldest established coal enterprise, will sponsor a free educational movie Monday morning, April 3, entitled "George Washington Railroad." The film will be displayed at the West Wayne school building at 10:10; East Wayne at 2:00; and Federation of Clubs meeting at the City Hall at 8 o'clock.
   Back in 1936 Sears was the first to introduce a streamlined refrigerator design, and the newest models carry on this tradition. Manager L.E. Murphy says a huge shipment has arrived in Warsaw this week and will be on display at the store on West Market St. The exterior of the new cabinets are covered with hard and durable white Dulux and the interiors are triple-coat porcelain enamel. Blue bakelite is used for trimming. One-million Coldspots have been sold nationwide since 1931.
