  When school starts next fall, Warsaw Community High School students will have a new principal. Jennifer S. Brumfield, Ph.D., was appointed by the Warsaw School Board as Warsaw Community High School’s principal, effective July 1. She will replace current principal, Paul Crousore, who is retiring. Brumfield, who has been assistant principal for 12 years, said she won’t be the only one starting a new position. There will also be two assistant principal positions to be filled.

  Joy Conlon, 14-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Conlon, Warsaw, performed her own modeling routine at the Talent America state competition March 21 in South Bend. The judges advanced Joy from the state level to compete as a national finalist in New York City at the end of July. Joy graduated from Model One Agency in 1984 and has participated in numerous talent and modeling shows. She is a freshman at Warsaw Community High School.

  Miss Renate Schaefer, German exchange student, spent the weekend with the Don Davidsen family on their farm near Leesburg. Renate lives with the Blaine Mikesells at Winona Lake.

   Miss Helen Garber and Miss Helen Fitton, of Warsaw; Miss Rowena Insley, Chris Koher and Russell Gawthrop, of Syracuse; and Robert Laird, of North Webster, attended the dance at Melody Gardens, South Bend. The music of Kay Kyser and his band was featured.
