    LEXINGTON, Va. - Richard J. Dobbins of Warsaw, is the 1984 George C. Marshall ROTC award winner from Ball State University, Muncie.

Cadet Dobbins, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Dobbins, Warsaw, is one of 315 Army ROTC cadets nationwide to win the prestigious award.

    Neal Carlson, cashier of the First National Bank, of Warsaw, has returned home following a two-day attendance earlier this week in Indianapolis at a trust conference sponsored by the Indiana Bankers' Association.

    Ruth Griffith, Warsaw, was the winner of the silver medal, given for the best oration at the session of the spring institute of the WCTU, held at the Syracuse Methodist Church. Griffith's subject was "New Recruit."
