    Carl Ellis and Jason Conley accepted the $5,000 award for the best White Paper project from Jean Northenor recently at the Kosciusko Leadership Academy banquet. Scott Wiley also was a member of the winning team but was not present. Their White Paper, “Positive Choices for the Second Shift Community,” offers recreational activities through Baker Youth Clubs for people who work second shift. The money will help fund the program.

    Warsaw Community High School’s 1987 prom was led by the king and queen, David Ransbottom, Claypool, and Michelle Haines, Warsaw. Ransbottom is the son of Eileen and Dan Ransbottom, Claypool. Haines is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. David Haines.

    Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Mikesell and daughters, Marilyn and Marcia, of Winona Lake, Miss Renate Schaefer, German exchange student; and Miss Ann Loop, of Warsaw, spent the weekend at Hanover and at Cincinnati, O. Marilyn and Ann will enter Hanover College next fall.

    The Rev. and Mrs. M.S. Livengood of the First United Brethren Church recently left for Indianapolis where they will attend a vocal recital of their son, David, and from there to Washington, Philadelphia and other points of interest in the East. On May 11 they will be at Chambersburg, Pa., to attend the general conference of the Church of the United Brethren in Christ to which Mr. Livengood is an elected delegate.
