    Warsaw teacher Dave Howett was recognized for 37 years of teaching at the school. He and foreign language teacher Janet Kirkpatrick are retiring this year. Kirkpatrick has taught for more than 20 years.
    WCHS Band Director Martin Becker and Principal Paul Crousore are both retiring at the end of this school year. Both were recognized for their contributions to the school over the years.

    For some, it is a dream come true; for others, possible a nightmare. But for everyone, the new Warsaw Community Pool will soon become a reality four years after all the controversy surrounding its use and  need. The pool, an eight-lane facility 75 feet long and 60 feet wide, is located on the west side of the Freshman School building.

    A large crowd witnessed the recent Lincoln Grade School Kindergarten graduation exercises, and little Tommy Harvout had his own cheering section as three generations came to see him graduate. Members of his family in attendance were: Ray Strayer Sr., Mrs. Strayer, Clarence Shoemaker, Mrs. Bill Harvout, and Mr. Harvout.

   Members of the classes of 1937 and 1938 of Warsaw senior high school and the faculty enjoyed a Coronation Prom recently at the Masonic Temple. The address of welcome was given by Roger Hatfield, president of the junior class who were hosts, and Norman  Kelly, president of the senior class, gave the response. The speaker for the occasion, O. Ray Miner, was introduced by James M. Leffel, superintendent of Warsaw city schools.
