    Warsaw Community High School crowned Bobbi Wildman and Drew Scholl as queen and king of the 1998 prom. The court included Anne Clemens, Nick Liniger, Brook Giger and Mike Cook.

May 30 1983

    Judy Coleman was hired by the North Webster Police Dept. in early April, becoming the first full-time female police officer in Kosciusko County.


50 Years Ago

May 30 1958

    Kathryn Jane Locke has been named valedictorian and Robert Wood salutatorian of the North Webster High School senior graduating class. Kathryn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Locke. Robert is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Summers.


75 Years Ago

May 30 1933

    A patented can opener is being placed on the market through Joe Funk, of Funk's Pharmacy. The device operates perfectly. Leverage is applied easily and firmly on the principle of a self-tightening wrench. The invention was perfected by Mr. Hazeltt, of Bourbon. Patent rights are held by Joe Funk, Dr. George W. Anglin and Bert Harris, the latter of Bourbon. The openers are being manufactured in Warsaw and promise to meet with increasing demand.
