    The Kosciusko Mental Health Association 5K spring 5K/10K races were held at the fairgrounds.

Brian Shepherd won the men's 5K race, while Naomi Fruchey won the women's 5K title. In the 10K race, Ron Sharp won the men's title and Denise Connelly captured the women's race. Sharp's winning time of 32:29 broke the course record.

    The town of Mentone is getting all spruced up for the centennial celebration in June, and this includes a new coat of paint for the giant egg on the south side of town. Art club members from Tippecanoe Valley High School, including Jenny Haywood and Chris Light, are repainting the egg, which proclaims Mentone as the "egg basket of the Midwest."

May 30 1932

    James Anglin, Warsaw insurance man, is one of the few that can own a pocketknife without losing it. Anglin has a pearl-handled two-bladed knife, which was given him by the Giller, Ward & Hanser Hardware Co., of St. Louis, 25 years ago. The knife has a razor edge and cuts as good as new.
